SMS Program Privacy Policy
This SMS Program Privacy Policy applies to text messages sent through the MotionOps platform. MotionOps is field service management software used by home service and construction businesses ("Businesses") to manage their operations. When you do business with a company that uses MotionOps and you opt in to receive text messages, those messages are sent through the MotionOps platform on behalf of that Business.
This policy is hosted by MotionOps and applies to the SMS program of any Business that uses MotionOps to send text messages, unless that Business publishes its own SMS privacy policy, in which case the Business's own policy applies.
About the SMS Program
The SMS program delivers service-related text messages from the Business you engaged, including:
- Appointment confirmations, reminders, and schedule updates
- Proposal and estimate notifications
- Invoice notifications and payment reminders
- Responses to your inquiries and service updates
Messages are sent only to individuals who have provided prior express consent to receive them.
Information We Collect
When you opt in to receive text messages, the following information is collected:
- Your name, as provided to the Business
- Your mobile phone number
- A record of your consent, including the date, time, and method by which you opted in (for example, a checkbox on a form, approval of a proposal, the customer portal, or verbal confirmation)
In connection with delivering messages, the platform also processes message delivery status and any replies you send (such as STOP or HELP keywords).
How Your Information Is Used
The information above is used solely to:
- Deliver the service-related text messages described in this policy
- Maintain an auditable record of your consent, as required by carrier and industry rules
- Honor your opt-out and help requests
- Comply with applicable laws and messaging industry standards (including CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices)
Your mobile number and opt-in consent are not used for any purpose other than the SMS program described here.
Information Sharing
The categories of information described above are shared only as follows:
- With the Business you engaged, which is the sender of the messages and the controller of your customer relationship
- With service providers strictly necessary to transmit messages (such as our telecommunications provider and mobile carriers), solely for message delivery
- When required by law, such as in response to a valid legal request
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Your mobile phone number and SMS consent data are never sold, rented, or bought.
Opting Out
You can opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you reply STOP, you will receive one final message confirming your opt-out, and no further messages will be sent to you unless you opt in again.
